Isn't summer supposed to be relaxing?

In the Lewin Household, the answer is a big, fat NO! With so much to do and so many places to go, who has time to relax? Having said that, many of my week days are spent preparing for the next upcoming weekend. That doesn't mean, though, that it's not fun! I absolutely love it and love our jam-packed schedule.

This past weekend we took a mini-vacation to Nags Head, NC. We got invited to go with The O'Grodnicks. They rent a ginormous beach house for a week every summer and this year's selection didn't disappoint - ocean-front, pool, 2 hot tubs, 8 bedrooms, the list goes on and on. It was awesome.

Mark and I had both been to the Outer Banks before on several occasions prior to this trip, but this was the first time we've gone since Anthony was born. We all 3 had a blast, especially since we were among friends. The O'Grodnicks are like family to me - I have been friends with Jenn for 17(!) years. It's hard to believe that now, we both have kids of our own. But anyway, with nothing to do, nowhere to go, lots of laughs, lots of booze, lots of good conversations, lots of sun, lots of good food, and lots of memories, the trip was a perfect 4-day escape. Thank you, O'Grodnicks for such a great time!
